The project is supported by a literature review which examines areas of intersection and divergence between public relations and management over the last 120 years.
It covers the following areas:
- The definition and scope of public relations as a practice
- Characterising public relations practice
- Worldviews and critical perspectives of public relations
- The evolving role of management
- Public relations and the management role
- Excellence as a management and a public relations concept
This has led to a series of working hypothesises and research questions that are being tested through data collection.
